This theatrical backdrop was created for a Christmas pageant at a local church, Bethel Chapel. It incorporates Vincent Van Gogh's painting "Starry Night" with the little town of Bethlehem and other Christmas imagery. Janice Donato created the concept and fifteen students from her drawing class took part in painting the backdrop. It was painted on a large roll of cardboard that was custom fit to the stage.

This backdrop was created for an Easter pageant called the "Living Last Supper", a renactment of Leonardo da Vinci's painting. It was painted on cardboard which was rolled around the corners, and a false perspective was created with the painting, giving a much greater illusion of depth than the actual stage allowed for.
