This entrance-hallway area has been painted to resemble rough-hewn stone. A trompe l'oeil window has been painted in the narrow hallway, in order to open up the space and breathe life into it. Painted ivies reach around the corner and add some colour to the gray stonework.


The homeowners had some beautiful nature paintings that they wanted incorporated into the mural. Here a "free" cardinal gazes at his brother trapped within the painting.

In the trompe l'oeil below, a little bird flutters past the wall.
